The design and the collection of flowers illustrated with a mixed technique —even painted with tea— by the National Illustration Award winner, Isidro Ferrer, highlight the poetic essence of a text that constitutes a world cultural heritage. And it is that the tea book is a cry in bloom: the literary testament to a way of life that, before the irruption of Western pragmatism —which at the beginning of the 20th century invaded everything with excessive power—, was relegated to oblivion by the new generations.
All parts of this subject book—the paper, the typography, the format, the composition, the binding, and the illustration—serve the purpose
by Kakuzō Okakura. For this reason, the floral prints are placed on the margin of the text, in a separate chapter, so that they add up without interfering, with the aim of rescuing the sensations that reading arouses: «The tea master judges his work finished with the choice of flowers and let them tell their own story."
