Under the acronym WITCH (New York, 1968-1970) hid a surprising feminist guerrilla group, precursor of the Guerrilla Girls or Femen, whose weapons were magical spells and spells, feminist art and direct action. Their activity was frenetic, scandalous and prodigious. Very soon, the aesthetics and style of that group of urban witches, of guerrillas without brooms, lit the fuse in different American cities: feminist cells were created that picked up that message. Witches were everywhere. Cited as one of the most fascinating examples of sixties activism, the group went on to be recorded with golden letters in the history of radical feminism, representing something feared, wild and almost unnameable, while displaying a fierce critique of patriarchy and the contradictions of the left itself as devastating as they are current.
