Tim Anderson is the chef and owner of the Nanban Japanese restaurant in Brixton, England. He is also a winner of the MasterChef competition, a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4's The Kitchen Cabinet, and the author of JapanEasy and Nanban: Japanese Soul Food. His love for Japanese food began when he watched Iron Chef as a teenager; This affinity became an obsession when, at the age of 18, he moved to Los Angeles to study Japanese history, and then to Fukuoka, where he worked for two years. He currently resides in Lewisham, South London, with his wife Laura, their daughter Tig and their cat Baloo, with IVF.
