Bookaneer notebooks are designed for book and writing lovers. They are made with durable book paper and sewn with red thread, allowing the book to open completely flat. The cover and a 'surprise' inside page have beautiful illustrations inspired by the original book; a drawing, a quote, a portrait. The synopsis on the back cover plays with the idea of ​​a book, a writing book. These are not books, but like books they already have a title, author and words, and many blank pages (except one). The idea is to disconnect from everyday noise and fill them with your own thoughts or drawings.

About the inspiring book: De Materia Medica, by Dioscorides (1st century).
Pedanius Dioscorides was a Greek physician and pharmacologist who lived in the 1st century and traveled with Nero's Roman legions as a surgeon. During his travels, Pedanius observed and collected medicinal plants and minerals, developing extensive knowledge that he translated into his De Materia Medica.
The original Greek manuscript, composed of five books and copied in at least seven languages, was used as the primary text of European and Western pharmacology until the late 15th century. It is considered the basis for the use of modern botany in medical practice.
The best preserved copy is from the 5th century and can be found in the National Library of Vienna, it is known as Codex Vindobonensis. UNESCO describes it as the most important pharmaceutical source of the ancient world.
