El Laboratorio de Tipografía Molecular de Kobi Franco es un proyecto de investigación especulativa que se adentra en la tipografía experimental, explorando la intersección entre función y estética y entre contenido y forma. Este estudio profundo parte de la premisa de que las letras latinas y hebreas poseen una estructura molecular, y examina cómo se puede aplicar esta suposición a los alfabetos y los idiomas. La investigación implica una serie de más de 150 pruebas, cada una diseñada como un "juego" estructurado en el que Franco define las reglas, establece el escenario y selecciona a los participantes. El libro presenta cuatro ensayos esclarecedores que brindan perspectivas históricas, culturales y académicas sobre la investigación tipográfica.
